Opportunities may be available across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, depending on your qualifications and subject specialism. We welcome applications from both experienced Secondary Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to progress within education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism across the relevant secondary key stages.
  • Follow the national curriculum, examination specifications, and individual school schemes of work.

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
  • Support students with examination preparation and academic development where required.
  • Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues, Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, and senior leadership.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge within your chosen secondary teaching specialism.
  • Previous experience teaching within a secondary school environment is desirable.
  • Good understanding of the relevant curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Confidence teaching Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 experience advantageous for some positions.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A professional, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Availability to work within secondary schools in Houghton Regis and surrounding areas.
